Order and Pricing Information

SimaPro is available in three versions: Compact, Analyst and Developer. Temporary licenses are also available, as well as academic licenses. All licenses are available either as single user or multi user versions. The multi user version has the same features as the single user (stand alone) SimaPro versions, but is extended with extra features needed for sound database management in a multi user environment.

All indefinite licenses come with a free service contract for the first year. Service contracts for additional years can be purchased separately. Please see the PRé Consultants SimaPro website for a description of what is included in the service contract.

The following table gives an overview of the differences between the three versions.

A list of prices in ZAR are given below. Delivery by registered mail is included, with courier service optional. Please note that prices on the website are subject to fluctuations in the exchange rate. For an order form with the latest prices, please email simapro@tgh.co.za.

Prices for SimaPro 7.2 professional versions

SimaPro 7.2 professional - indefinite licenses

Indefinite professional licenses include:
	The ecoinvent v2 database.
	A free first year service contract.

SimaPro 7.2 professional – service contracts

	A service contract gives you software and database updates, as well as support.
	A free first year is included with each indefinite license.
	Order multiple years of service in advance and get a discount: 5% discount on a 2 year renewal, 10% on a 3 year renewal.
	Please note: Service contracts are automatically renewed each year until we receive your cancellation.

SimaPro 7.2 professional - temporary licenses

Temporary professional licenses:
	Are ideal for testing, or when you have a limited budget or short project.
	Are available for a period of 12 months (or any multiple thereof)
	Will run as a demo after expiration, so you will still be able to access and print your data, but you will no longer be able to edit it.
	Can simply be renewed after expiration, without loss of data.
	Include service and support (for the duration of the license).
	The 12 month license includes the ecoinvent v2 database.
	Are available in multi user versions (on request).
	Can be upgraded to indefinite licenses (prices on request).

Prices for SimaPro 7.2 educational versions

Educational versions may only be used by academic institutes for teaching purposes and cannot be used for commercial activities, including paid research. Educational licenses can be upgraded to a professional license.

SimaPro 7.2 educational - indefinite licenses

Indefinite educational licenses:
	Are for teaching purposes only.
	Include a free first year service contract.

Educational versions may only be used by academic institutes for teaching purposes and can not be used for commercial activities including paid research. You can simply upgrade an educational license to a professional license.

SimaPro 7.2 educational - service contracts

	A free first year is included with each indefinite license.

SimaPro 7.2 educational - temporary licenses

Temporary educational licenses:
	Are for teaching purposes only.
	Are ideal when you have a limited budget.
	Are available for a period of 12 months or any multiple thereof. The SimaPro Faculty license is also available as a 6 month license.
	Will run as a demo after expiration, so you will still be able to access and print your data, but you will not longer be able to edit it.
	Can simply be renewed before or after expiration, without loss of data.
	Include service and support (for the duration of the license).

Upgrade and update policy

Upgrading to a different version is simple: you need only enter a new registration code. After upgrading you can still use the same database without any loss of data. Please email simapro@tgh.co.za with your upgrade request to obtain a quote. In most cases, you only pay the price difference.

The following upgrades are possible:
	From a single user to a multi user license (new installation required)
	From a temporary to an indefinite license
	From an educational to a professional license
	To a more advanced version, for example from Analyst to Developer.
